Traditional Brownies

Traditional brownies must be chewy, chocolatey and dense.

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30-35 minutes

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170° C.
  2. Line a 23 x 33 cm baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat; set aside.
  4. In a mixer, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla at high speed for 10 minutes.
  5. Blend in chocolate mixture, flour and salt until just mixed.
  6. Stir in the nuts.
  7. Pour into prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes. (Don't overbake.)
  9. Cool and frost if desired, but that is not necessary.
